Michelle Holmes is a leadership strategist, executive coach, and board director who brings candor, clarity, and a bit of levity to serious work. With a career that spans healthcare, management consulting, and executive leadership, she’s spent more than 20 years helping leaders and organizations navigate growth, change, and complex decision-making.

Her approach is grounded in both real-world experience and research. As chief operating officer of a national consulting firm, she led scaling efforts through private equity ownership and post-acquisition integration with a global corporation. She also earned a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), where her dissertation explored how leadership development influences self-efficacy and advancement behaviors among women.

Today, Michelle works with clients through strategic advisory services, executive coaching, and board governance. She’s particularly drawn to inflection points — moments when stakes are high, roles are shifting, or the path forward feels uncertain. Whether working with an executive team or a board, she’s known for cutting through noise, surfacing what matters, and helping leaders get the hard stuff done.

Outside of work, Michelle is raising two high schoolers — one a musician, one a polyglot studying abroad — alongside a husband who ensures she doesn’t turn everything into a project plan. Two golden retrievers named after Beatles songs supervise it all. When she’s not coaching clients, attending band performances, or vacuuming dog hair, you’ll find her baking something sweet or trying to keep up with a Peloton coach.
